Technical Specialist/Patent Agent

Slater & Matsil, L.L.P., is an Intellectual Property law firm with a global practice. We are currently looking for potential candidates for the position of Technical Specialist/Patent Agent. The position involves working with inventors to understand the technical aspects of the invention, describe the invention in a patent application, analyze patent applications to determine technical distinctions between the patent application and other references, and provide technical support for litigation/licensing teams. Potential candidates should have a Ph.D., preferably in the electrical, telecommunications, semiconductor, or computer science and engineering. We prefer someone with a strong background in telecommunications or semiconductor processing along with excellent communication (writing) skills.
