  • Mark Jacobs presented Patents: How They Work and Strategic Business Considerations at a Plenary Session of the 2008 Applied Power Electronics Conference (APEC ‘08) in Austin, Texas. Mark’s survey of patent issues from conception of an idea through managing an intellectual property portfolio offered guidance to front line engineers and managers dealing with these complex topics on a daily basis.

  • Ira S. Matsil presented “Patent Prosecution Update” at the January 2008 meeting of the Dallas Bar Association’s Intellectual Property Section.

  • Ira S. Matsil was a presenter at the 45th Annual Intellectual Property Law Program at The Center for American and International Law.

  • Steven Slater and Ira Matsil were named by D Magazine as two of the Best Lawyers in Dallas for 2007. The list was compiled by asking Texas lawyers which Dallas lawyers in their area of practice and whose work they have witnessed firsthand they would rank among the current best.   • Ira S. Matsil presented at the 2004 AIPLA (American Intellectual Property Law Association) Spring Meeting

  • Ira Matsil spoke as a panelist at the 2004 AIPLA Spring Meeting held at the Hyatt Regency in Dallas, Texas, May 13-15. Ira discussed “A Second Bite at the Invalidity Apple? – Strategic Uses, Procedures, and Implications for Inter Partes Reexam”. The AIPLA is a national bar association with more than 15,000 members.
  • Slater & Matsil, L.L.P. named in American Lawyer Media's “Who Protects IP America?”
  • Slater & Matsil, L.L.P. named as a “Go-To” Law Firm in Corporate Counsel’s 2004 Directory of In-House Law Departments at the Top 250 Companies.
    • The Directory includes information on the Chief Counsel in five different practice areas at the Fortune 250, and names Slater & Matsil, L.L.P. as a “go-to” law firm in Intellectual Property.
